Tara diary ( Introduction)

Dear everyone,
This is Tandin Wangmo, but you can call me Tara. Soon, I’ll share the meaning behind “Tara”—it’s not a nickname, pet name, or surname. I’m 16 years old and currently living in 🤫, Samdrup Jongkhar district (Bhutan), studying in 9th grade. I was supposed to be in 10th, but math and I aren’t exactly friends. Because of this, I had to repeat the grade.

As for hobbies? Well, I’m not sure! It’s hard to pick when I feel like the jack of all trades but master of none. 😅

I started this blog for a few reasons:

1. To help me fix my English structure (it needs some work, I know!).

2. I’ve always loved writing journals.

3. I heard people can earn money here, so why not give it a try? 😁

Now, let me walk you through my day...
I don’t remember exactly what time I woke up—maybe 9 a.m.? I headed to the bathroom, which is about 40 meters away from my house. Yes, both the bathroom and kitchen are outside! 😔 This place is far from ideal. I moved here 9 months ago, and it’s been a bit of a nightmare. Not only is everything outside, but we also run out of water and electricity often. It’s incredibly hot here—you sweat constantly, and with dirty water for bathing, it’s not the best combination.

The place is quite remote with few markets, and it’s an elephant-restricted area. A few months back, a man was tragically killed by an elephant. The story goes that he was drunk, ignored warnings, and even threatened the elephant, which led to a brutal encounter. In Bhutan, we believe elephants are like gods, and that story haunts me.

Despite all these challenges, I carry on. After breakfast (my dad made kapta, similar to Indian roti), I spent my Saturday lazily scrolling through Instagram and Facebook. I even unpublished a post because it felt too cringe! I also tried to research more about blogging and earning, but honestly, I’m clueless about how to start.

It’s 1:20 a.m. now, and I’m feeling sleepy, so I’ll end here. I know my English isn’t perfect, but I’m learning, so bear with me!

                                                      -Tara

By the way, this post was originally published on October 3rd, but due to some personal issues, I had to take it down. Apologies for the delay! From now on, I’ll keep you all updated regularly.❤️❤️❤️
